Another hit! It struck a chord. I taught hubby to crochet, he's not very good yet, but he enjoys it. Now he has crossed into the world of crocheting in public. First time was at a coffee shop... a few double takes but nothing major. The second was at a crochet group I found at our library. We were there for 15 minutes when suddenly a woman at the other end of the table shouted "OH MY GOD THERE'S A MAN IN HERE!" He took it in stride, everyone got a giggle, and I think he had more fun than I did chatting with the biddies. You were one of the men that gave him the courage to go out there and do it... thanks
Butterfly Bush Diaries: I'm glad this 40-year-peek into the future made your day! :)
PaisleyJade: Thanks! No, I haven't been hassled in public for crocheting, at least not yet :D I was hassled once for my coloured hair years ago, so I might have taken some inspiration from that incident haha
Rebekah: Thank you for your kind, kind words :) You and your enduring blog are awesome to boot too!
"Never Knew" - Thanks, Caz!
Annette: hehe I have at least two more ideas for Old Man Woo comic strips… One of them will likely feature Old Man Woomi ;)
Özer: Thank you for the "Loooove"!
Miss Julep: I hope I still receive your thumbs-up reviews 40 years from now too :)
JelliDonut: I'm happy that the comic cracked you up! It's nice&safe to explore the old age while still relatively young haha
Ysabeau: Thank you for your excellent word!
Allison Hoffman: Thanks, Allison! MJ and I were watching "The Pee-Wee Herman Show on Broadway" on HBO, and I kept thinking about your big adventure meeting Pee-Wee :)
greenrabbitdesigns: Thanx for the "love it"! :)
Annaboo: I'm glad you found my blog! And I also hope you think I'm all those things when i'm in my elderly 70s, hehe
RollerScrapper: hehe pwned is right! Take that, you whippersnappers ;)
Susan Stayer: Thanks for enjoying my work! There is much nuttiness ahead :)
zuperdzigh: In 50 years, I hope I'll still be able to hold a crochet hook, yipes!
P. Kirby: Thanks for liking the artwork! It quickly becomes unsettling to draw oneself as a senior citizen, though elderly-MJ still looks good in the year 2051, it seems ;)
Amethyst: Congratulations on your husband's bold and talented adventures crocheting in public! (I've only crocheted in public a handful of times, and never on public transit). My admiration & awe go to the crocheters & knitters who create their work in the public arena :)
